Transition elements

Transition elements are dedicated screw pieces that smoothly bridge different lobe geometries (e.g., from double-lobe to triple-lobe and back). Through axially tapered design of lead and channel volume, they eliminate flow path mutations and retention dead spots at the joints of different functional elements, and realize smooth transition of material conveying capacity, shear intensity and fill degree. They are key connecting components to ensure flow path continuity of screw configuration and improve process stability.

  • Axial Tapered Lead Structure 

    Based on forward conveying screws, the lead changes continuously along the axial direction (transitionable from large lead to small lead, or vice versa) with no abrupt lead steps, ensuring an overall continuous and smooth flow path.

    Along with the lead taper, the channel cross-sectional area and volume change steadily and synchronously, avoiding sudden expansion or contraction of the material flow path and eliminating flow disturbance.
